WCS NEED SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS
Washington County Schools Needs You!! Are you interested in substitute teaching for Washington County Schools? Take the Substitute 101 course at www.wresa.org. This course is self-paced and the cost is $45.00. A certificate will be generated for you upon completion. Complete an application with Washington County Schools www.wcsnc.org. Upon completion of your application, a background check will be conducted and reviewed. When all information has been returned and reviewed, your name will be submitted to the Washington County School Board of Education for approval of employment. Please contact Mrs. T. Gill at 252-793-5171 or via email at tgill@wcsnc.org for questions and concerns pertaining to your application status.

New Vaccination Requirements for 12th Graders!
Please--don't wait! North Carolina has instituted a new vaccination for 12th-grade students beginning next school year. This new meningococcal vaccine requirement will take effect for the 2021-2022 school year. It is important to update your immunizations now as there always seems to be a shortage around the time school begins in the fall (due to the high demand). Click the title to make sure your student's immunizations are up to date.
Below is a chart that details immunizations for all school-aged children. Please, print it out and compare it to your child's records. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to your child's school to speak with a nurse.

Transcripts / Diplomas
Are you interested in information about transcripts and or diplomas? See attached for more information. When paying for transcripts online, please be sure to include your name, dob, year graduated, and email address to: mcox@wcsnc.org. If you are paying $7.50 for a transcript to be mailed, you must include an address of where it is to be sent. Please click on the title to read more.

ELIZABETH CITY STATE UNIVERSITY ARMY ROTC PROGRAM
A program that lowers tuition for all undergraduate students at ECSU to $500 per semester or $2500 per semester for out-of-state students. Paired with a potential scholarship from our program, a quality education from ECSU becomes very affordable. Please click on the title to read more.

Back To School Immunizations
WCS Parents and Guardians, This is a friendly reminder to have your child’s immunization records updated for the 2022-2023 school year. Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Assessments also need to be completed. Scholars entering the 7th Grade and 12th Grade need to have their immunization shots updated. Please take this time to make appointments with your Healthcare Providers. Attached are the requirements for grade levels. Be Safe. Wash your hands. Practice Social Distancing.
