Good evening, Panther Family, This is Principal Peele with this week's announcements. Fall picture day for students and staff is Tuesday, September the 15th. Progress reports went home with students last week. Parents, if you have any questions or concerns on your child's grades or progress, schedule a conference with his or her teacher. Parents of Pre K and kindergarten students, make sure your child immunization and health forms are turned in as soon as possible. Parents, make sure your child is at school on time and for the entire instructional day. Make sure students are completing his or her homework and reading for at least 20 minutes every night. AGAPE School Based Health Services is partnering with WCES to help complete required health assessments. If you would like your scholar to have the required health assessment completed at school, return the packet that was sent home today by Tuesday September 1, 2026 and it will be completed Thursday September 4, 2026. If you choose to utilize your own health care provider, the health assessment is still due by September 30, 2026 for your kindergartner to remain in school. Thank you and enjoy your weekend. Good Evening, Parents and Guardians. This is Ms. Gallop with an important reminder regarding our Summer Camp program for students whose enrollment has been finalized and confirmed.
Summer Camp will be held June 8th through June 11th and June 15th through June 18th. Please note that there will be no camp on Fridays.
Camp hours are from 7:45 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. each day. Students should arrive on time and ready to learn, grow, and participate in fun learning opportunities.
Bus transportation will be provided for eligible students. Buses will begin rolling at approximately 5:55 a.m. Parents may use the Here Comes the Bus app to track their child's bus location and arrival times. To register, please use our school code: 82281.
Car riders are expected to be picked up promptly at 2:30 p.m. and should exit campus immediately following dismissal.
Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle each day to stay hydrated. All students are expected to follow the school dress code and adhere to all school rules and expectations while attending summer camp.
Please be advised that behavior expectations will be enforced to ensure a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment for all participants. Students are expected to come prepared to learn, follow directions, and demonstrate positive behavior throughout the program.
We are excited to provide this opportunity for our students and look forward to a successful Summer Camp experience filled with engaging activities and fun learning opportunities. If you have any questions, please contact the school at 252-793-3031.

WCES Duke Energy Science Parent Night on April 16, 2026 from 5:30–7:00 PM. This is a great opportunity for our students and families to engage in hands-on STEM experiences and celebrate that Science Matters!
