We will have 3rd, 4th and 5th grade EOG Remediation from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on on Thursday, June 12th, 13th and 16th. Retesting will be on June 17th and 18th. Breakfast and lunch will be served. The bus will be available to pick up scholars 15 to 20 minutes earlier than during the regular school day. Scholars, we look forward to seeing you on Thursday focused and ready to learn. We will be having our Pre-K Stepping Up Ceremony on Tuesday 6/3 starting at 10:00 am and our 5th Grade Transition Ceremony on Thursday 6/5 starting at 10:00 am. Both ceremonies will require a ticket to attend. Some testing will still be happening this week. If your child is testing, please make sure he/she is at school and on time. Our district is experiencing widespread issues with telephone communications today. Calls to the schools and offices are intermittent at this time. Our Technology Innovations team is actively troubleshooting the issue and hope to have it resolved soon. A notice will be issued once everything is resolved. Today, we proudly recognize and celebrate the outstanding contributions of our school nurses in honor of School Nurse Appreciation Day. Their work is vital to the health and well-being of our entire school community, and we are incredibly grateful for all they do—both visibly and behind the scenes.
Our school nurses juggle a wide range of responsibilities with professionalism, dedication, and compassion. Their recent contributions include:
Maintaining 100% compliance for student health assessments and immunizations.
Conducting staff-wide training on basic first aid, and training medication administrators and alternates, while ensuring classrooms are stocked with essential first aid supplies.
Collaborating with AGAPE, the Health Department, and WCRMS to holistically support student health needs.
Distributing free COVID-19 tests provided by NCDHHS.
Organizing and implementing the SMILE Mobile Dentist Program, offering students free dental care.
Successfully applying for and receiving a $5,000 Feminine Hygiene Grant, benefiting students from elementary through high school.
Completing Stop the Bleed emergency preparedness training.
Responding daily to the physical and emotional needs of students and staff, creating a safe and supportive learning environment.
Our school nurses are the heartbeat of health in our schools. Their commitment, skill, and care make a lasting difference every single day.

Greetings Parents Guardians Scholar and Staff. As Per The Bus Garage: Bus 172 is not running today. We may have a driver to do a double route. Bus 169 is not running and buses 178 and 174 will pick as many of those students as they can. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Have a great day.
