🚀 CTE Lunch and Learn: Bridging the Gap Between Education and Industry!
Today marked a milestone as we hosted a dynamic CTE Lunch and Learn event, kicking off a series of engaging sessions with our esteemed consultant. This initiative is a crucial step towards aligning our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs with the ever-evolving needs of industries and local communities.
Our CTE teachers and students came together to participate in insightful discussions during the Lunch and Learn event. The exchange of ideas and experiences was truly inspiring!
Our consultant is set to work firsthand with our CTE educators and students. The goal is to strengthen the connection between educational pathways and the dynamic demands of local industries.
These events are part of a broader strategy to enhance the quality of our CTE programs. By fostering collaboration with industry experts, we aim to ensure that our students are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to excel in their chosen fields.
As we move forward, anticipate more events, workshops, and hands-on experiences designed to enrich our CTE offerings. This partnership with our consultant signifies our commitment to providing cutting-edge, industry-relevant education to our students.





Today, we had the pleasure of convening a Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA) Focus Group meeting with dedicated stakeholders to discuss and enhance our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. The collective wisdom and insights shared during this session are invaluable, setting the stage for exciting developments in our educational offerings.

The Conversation Unveiled:
Our stakeholders engaged in robust discussions on how we can collaboratively elevate the CTE experience. The focus was on innovation, responsiveness to industry trends, and ensuring our students are well-prepared for the opportunities that lie ahead.
The commitment to enhancing the quality of CTE programs was evident, with participants sharing inspiring ideas on curriculum development, and experiential learning, and forging stronger partnerships with local businesses and higher education institutions.

Cadets were afforded the opportunity to have conversations with active military personnel, participate in simulation, perform a modified physical training drills, learn about ARMY life and visit the home of the Airborne and Special Operations Forces. It was a great learning field experience. The 48 Cadets were the only ones to participate from the eastern part of North Carolina.

In light of the most recent tragic incident and out of an abundance of caution, we have elected to close to ensure the safety of our students, teachers, and staff. Washington County High School JROTC Panther Battalion traveled to Fort Gregg-Adams Military Base for a tour of the facilities. Guided by CPT LaKesa Cobb, the cadets were able to participate with the rifle simulator with the Engagement Skills Trainer. Traveling next to the Rigger and while there there were able to see how the parachutes are inspected and prepared for use. The next stop was to the Culinary Building to see the classrooms where Soldiers learn the basic skills and safety procedures to prepare foods and ultimately meals.
