🚨Important Announcement🚨 Free Athletic physicals will be given on July 28th and July 29th from 2:00 pm-5:00 pm by Washington County Regional Medical Center. Physicals will be held at Washington County High School. Please contact Mr. Corey Crossen if you have questions. We will also hold the Parent Athletic Information Night from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm on July 29th. (This is for the parents and/or guardians of all potential 2025-26 athletes of students grades 6-12) Washington County High School Cheer Tryouts for Varsity and Junior Varsity will be held. -Wednesday - July 30th from 12-3 -Thursday - July 31st from 12-3 - Friday - August 1st from 1-3 If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Chernique Arnold. You must have a physical to try out!

Join the community conversation: Washington County along with United Way will be hosting two community meetings geared towards gathering citizen input on the good, bad, and ugly that exists in Washington County. The insights from these meetings will be used for broader community project planning.

🏈🔥 Three of our scholar-athletes along with their head coach showed up and showed out at the Blake Harrell Football Camp held on the campus of East Carolina University! 💪📚 The camp, led by Coach Blake Harrell and the ECU Pirates 🏴‍☠️ football coaching staff, provided elite instruction, high energy, and an unforgettable experience for these rising stars! ⭐️🐾

All Panthers Battalion Cadets returned safety after a week of intense and fun training.

Huge thank you to Deondra Cherry for facilitating an incredible volleyball fundamentals camp! This fun and engaging camp was perfect for athletes new to the game or those looking to build a solid foundation in all fundamental skills. Participants received expert instruction in passing, setting, serving, hitting, and basic team strategies—all in a positive and supportive environment. Deondra’s efforts align seamlessly with our mission to keep moving our athletic department forward. Thank you to all of our coaches for their participation.

Elizabeth City State University has a great opportunity for any of your students interested in becoming a pilot, air traffic controller, or unmanned aircraft systems (drone) operator. Your rising seniors and juniors can take up to 6 credits of college coursework paid for by a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration. The grant can also cover other expenses associated with becoming a pilot or drone operator.
