🌟 Exciting Day at Domtar Plymouth, North Carolina 🌟 Today, our Entrepreneurship group along with some of our seniors who have recently earned their Career Readiness Certificate had the fantastic opportunity to tour the Domtar facility located in Plymouth, North Carolina. This visit offered us an insightful glimpse into the world of manufacturing at one of the industry's leading companies. Domtar's Plymouth mill stands out in its production of softwood fluff pulp, a material known for its superior absorbency and sheet properties. This critical component is essential in the creation of adult incontinence products, baby diapers, and other absorbent hygiene products, showcasing the importance of Domtar's work in our daily lives. Our visit was not only educational but also inspiring, providing our students with a hands-on look at the manufacturing process and the numerous career opportunities available within the industry. This experience is a testament to the value of Career and Technical Education (CTE) and the importance of real-world experiences in preparing our youth for future success. A huge thank you to the Domtar team for hosting us and for their ongoing commitment to education and community engagement. We're looking forward to more collaborations in the future! #CTE #Tours #HandsOn

Today, our Parent Development students 📚 visited Creswell Elementary School 🏫 to read 📖 to the kids in honor of Dr. Seuss Week, promoting literacy and joy in reading. They also assisted with classroom activities, engaging the young students in fun and educational tasks. After their meaningful contribution, they were treated to a lunch 🍽️ sponsored by two local businesses, one of which is Barnyard Betsy's, owned by Paulique Horton. She infused the lunch with a "Lunch and Learn" twist, leaving the students with a powerful message: "Once you find your purpose, you will never be broke!" 💡💪 We're keen on setting up more "Lunch and Learn" 🍴📚 opportunities for our middle and high school scholars.
