Congratulations to Coach James and the Washington County High School Panthers on securing another impressive road win Friday night against a well-coached Wayne Christian team! The Panthers faced some adversity throughout the game but battled through to claim a 26–21 victory. Standout performances came from Keitrell Sutton, Jeremiah Mann, and Tyshawn Stevens, who all played key roles in the win. Following the game, both teams came together at midfield for a heartfelt prayer in remembrance of the three E.E. Smith football players who tragically lost their lives in a car accident earlier this week. The Panthers will be back in action on Friday, October 17th at 7:00 PM, as they host Wilson Prep, last year’s Eastern Regional Finalist. This game will also serve as our Pink Out and Senior Night — let’s pack the stands and show our support!

Horticulture Students in Action! Our Horticulture students have been hard at work preparing okra and collards for planting and care. In addition to their hands-on gardening skills, they successfully collected 15 gallons of rainwater to help with irrigation—practicing sustainability while supporting our school garden. Great job, students! Your dedication is helping our garden grow and thrive. #handsonlearning #cte

Today our Entrepreneurship and Adobe students had the opportunity to attend a customized tour at East Carolina University designed to align with their CTE pathways. Students explored the School of Hospitality Leadership, the College of Business’s Student Technology Center, and the Main Campus Student Center (MCSC). The tour concluded at noon, followed by lunch in the student center. To finish the day, students enjoyed a walking tour of the west side of campus, gaining a deeper look into life at ECU and the resources available to future Pirates.
