Middle School Grading System

Middle School Grading System

  • Teachers are charged with the responsibility of grading students and recognizing their individual differences. Grading should be based on the progress that the individual student has made towards accomplishing the set goals and objectives.

    All classes will be graded in accordance with the following numeric scale:

    A = 90 – 100
    B = 80 – 89
    C = 70 – 79
    D = 60 – 69
    F = less than 60

    Performance on the End-of-Course test will count as 25 percent of the final grade for students enrolled in Common Core Math I or any other high school credit course that requires an EOC. Depending on the course, this may be a state, district, or teacher exam.

    Report Cards

    Report cards are issued within a week following the end of each grading period. All students receive progress reports every 15 days during the grading period to take home to parents.
