GREETINGS TIGER CUBS FAMILY!!
Students, Families, Staff and Community Stakeholders! I am Principal Gallop, at Creswell Elementary School with a few announcements for the week of April 3 - April 7, 2023
Character Education Traits for this week are Determination and Perseverance. Following through with a task and not giving up even when the task is difficult. Determination is about how much you want something and the lengths you are willing to go to in order to make it happen. Perseverance on the other hand, is your ability to continue to strive for your best despite difficulty and delay in achieving success.
CONGRATULATIONS to all 24 of our dual language spelling bee contestants at Creswell Elementary School! Today was a tough competition and many rounds back and forth, but by the end, the judges named a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner for each grade, K - 3. Great job, Tiger Cubs!
CONGRATULATIONS to Mrs. Cindy Jones selected by her peers to be the STAFF MEMBER OF THE MONTH! She is very dedicated and selfless when it comes to our scholars and the many many tasks that she performs daily. When you see Mrs. Cindy Jones, CONGRATULATE her!!
MAKO Medical will continue to come on campus on Wednesdays for COVID Testing. There is still time to sign up if you need this service.
Wednesday, April 5, 2023 - Washington County Schools Elementary BATTLE OF THE BOOKS - CES MULTIPURPOSE ROOM.
The Washington County Board of Education will hold a special called meeting on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the boardroom located at 509 Adams Street, Plymouth, NC. You may join the meeting in person or by clicking the below meeting link. Masks are optional. The purpose of this meeting is for the board members to discuss the New Pre-K-12 School. Thursday, April 6, 2023 - will be an Early Release Day and Report Cards will be sent home with your child.
April 7-April 14, 2023 Washington County Schools will be closed for SPRING BREAK! Take this time to relax and rejuvenate. We will return to school on Monday, April 17, 2023 preparing for our END OF GRADE TESTING. Students come back to school giving your studies YOUR VERY BEST! We know that you can do it!
Read at least 30 minutes a day with your child or children and have them read to you. Ask them to explain to you what they have read for comprehension and understanding. Have them share with you each day what they have learned in school in each subject. It is very important to be in school each day from the beginning to the end to receive instruction. Students who ride the School Bus to stay in their assigned seat, put on their seatbelt until it is time for them to exit the bus and to use their inside voice. Parents and Guardians, please encourage your child to be on their best behavior in school and on the school bus. Please continue to be a CHAMPION in the lives of others everyday. Thank you and enjoy the remainder of your evening. GO AND GROW TIGER CUBS!!

Los rasgos de educación del carácter para esta semana son determinación y perseverancia. Cumplir con una tarea y no darse por vencido incluso cuando la tarea es difícil. La determinación se trata de cuánto quieres algo y hasta dónde estás dispuesto a llegar para que suceda. La perseverancia, por otro lado, es su capacidad para continuar esforzándose por dar lo mejor de sí a pesar de la dificultad y la demora en lograr el éxito.
¡FELICITACIONES a los 24 concursantes del concurso de ortografía bilingüe en la Escuela Primaria Creswell! Hoy fue una competencia dura y muchas rondas de ida y vuelta, pero al final, los jueces nombraron un ganador del 1.°, 2.° y 3.er lugar para cada grado, K - 3. ¡Buen trabajo, Tiger Cubs!

¡Del 7 al 14 de abril de 2023, las escuelas del condado de Washington estarán cerradas durante las VACACIONES DE PRIMAVERA! Tómese este tiempo para relajarse y rejuvenecer. Regresaremos a la escuela el lunes 17 de abril de 2023 preparándonos para nuestra PRUEBA DE FIN DE GRADO. ¡Los estudiantes regresan a la escuela dando lo MEJOR DE SUS ESTUDIOS! ¡Sabemos que puedes hacerlo!
Lea por lo menos 30 minutos al día con su hijo o hijos y pídales que le lean. Pídales que le expliquen lo que han leído para la comprensión y comprensión. Pídales que compartan con usted cada día lo que han aprendido en la escuela en cada materia.
