GREETINGS TIGER CUBS FAMILY!!
Students, Families, Staff and Community Stakeholders! I am Principal Gallop, at Creswell Elementary School with a few announcements for the week of April 17 - April 21, 2023. WELCOME BACK from a much deserved SPRING BREAK! It is now time for us to really work hard to be sure that our students are prepared to take their EOG End Of Grade Assessments in May. STUDENTS BELIEVE IN YOU!!
Character Education Traits for this week are Determination and Perseverance. Following through with a task and not giving up even when the task is difficult. Determination is about how much you want something and the lengths you are willing to go to in order to make it happen. Perseverance on the other hand, is your ability to continue to strive for your best despite difficulty and delay in achieving success.
MAKO Medical will continue to come on campus on Wednesdays for COVID Testing. There is still time to sign up if you need this service.
AGAPE School-Based Health Services will still continue to serve students and staff as needed. Applications were sent home earlier in the school year. If you need another form, call to the school and we will send the application home with your child or you may come by CES to get an application.
The Washington County Board of Education meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the Pines Elementary School/Washington County Middle School Campus located at 37 East Millpond Road, Roper, NC. The open session meeting will be held in the Gym or you may join the meeting by clicking the following link: https://youtube.com/live/wgLPNBcP5ks?feature=share The agenda will be available on Monday, April 17, 2023. Masks are optional.
We had a day set aside for Pre Kindergarten Registration and thank you to the Families who came and filled out the applications and brought the required documents to complete the packet. There is still time to complete the application for the 2023-2024 school year. Contact Mrs. Julie Simpson at the Central Support Services at 252-793-5171.
We will have KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION soon for children who are not currently enrolled in Pre-Kindergarten for the 2023-2024 School Year.
Coming Up Soon - April 24, 2023 - May 5, 2023 have been set aside for the KINDERGARTEN - 2ND GRADE ASSESSMENTS. Parents and Guardians be sure that these students get a good night's rest prior to the testing dates and have them in school and ready for the assessments.
Read at least 30 minutes a day with your child or children and have them read to you. Ask them to explain to you what they have read for comprehension and understanding. Have them share with you each day what they have learned in school in each subject. It is very important to be in school each day from the beginning to the end to receive instruction. Students who ride the School Bus to stay in their assigned seat, put on their seatbelt until it is time for them to exit the bus and to use their inside voice. Parents and Guardians, please encourage your child to do their very best each day in school, be on their best behavior in school and on the school bus. Please continue to be a CHAMPION in the lives of others everyday. Thank you and enjoy the remainder of your evening. GO AND GROW TIGER CUBS!!

¡Estudiantes, familias, personal y partes interesadas de la comunidad! Soy la directora Gallop, en la escuela primaria Creswell con algunos anuncios para la semana del 17 al 21 de abril de 2023. ¡BIENVENIDOS DE UNAS VACACIONES DE PRIMAVERA muy merecidas! Ahora es el momento de que realmente trabajemos duro para asegurarnos de que nuestros estudiantes estén preparados para tomar sus evaluaciones de fin de grado EOG en mayo. LOS ESTUDIANTES CREEN EN USTEDES!!
Los rasgos de educación del carácter para esta semana son determinación y perseverancia. Cumplir con una tarea y no darse por vencido incluso cuando la tarea es difícil. La determinación se trata de cuánto quieres algo y hasta dónde estás dispuesto a llegar para que suceda. La perseverancia, por otro lado, es su capacidad para continuar esforzándose por dar lo mejor de sí a pesar de la dificultad y la demora en lograr el éxito.
MAKO Medical continuará viniendo al campus los miércoles para las pruebas de COVID. Todavía estás a tiempo de darte de alta si necesitas este servicio.
Los servicios de salud basados en la escuela de AGAPE seguirán sirviendo a los estudiantes y al personal según sea necesario. Las solicitudes se enviaron a casa a principios del año escolar. Si necesita otro formulario, llame a la escuela y le enviaremos la solicitud a casa con su hijo o puede pasar por CES para obtener una solicitud.
La reunión de la Junta de Educación del Condado de Washington se llevará a cabo el martes 18 de abril de 2023 a las 6:00 p.m. en el Campus de la Escuela Primaria Pines/Escuela Intermedia del Condado de Washington ubicado en 37 East Millpond Road, Roper, NC. Pronto tendremos INSCRIPCIÓN DE KINDERGARTEN para los niños que actualmente no están inscritos en Pre-Kindergarten para el año escolar 2023-2024.
Próximamente - 24 de abril de 2023 - 5 de mayo de 2023 se han reservado para las EVALUACIONES DE KINDERGARTEN - 2DO GRADO. Los padres y tutores deben asegurarse de que estos estudiantes descansen bien antes de las fechas de los exámenes y que estén en la escuela y listos para los exámenes.
Lea por lo menos 30 minutos al día con su hijo o hijos y pídales que le lean. Pídales que le expliquen lo que han leído para la comprensión y comprensión.
