PES and WCMS will be celebrating Veterans with post Veterans Day programs on Monday, November 20, 2023. Veterans are welcome to attend these celebrations in honor of your commitment and service.

Summer Programming Parent/Caregiver Survey-Please Distribute The Office of Learning Recovery at NCDPI is interested in hearing about students’ summer programming experience from the perspective of parents and caregivers. October is NATIONAL PRINCIPAL'S APPRECIATION MONTH! Washington County Schools celebrates each of our Principals during this month. Ms. Victoria Fields at WCECHS, Mr. Torrey Hines at WCHS, Mrs. Dianne Stokes at WCMS, Mr. Tracy Peele at PES and Ms. Jai'la Carmack at CES. Thank You for all that you do everyday in the lives of Scholars, Families and Staff. Continue to be a CHAMPION in the lives of others.

Fire Prevention Week™ (FPW™) campaign, “Cooking safety starts with YOU. Pay attention to fire prevention™,” works to educate everyone about simple but important actions they can take to keep themselves and those around them safer when cooking. We have created a series of products and online resources to help effectively and safely promote this year’s FPW theme. In the months ahead, we’ll continue to share creative ideas for helping make your FPW efforts as impactful as possible. During Fire Prevention Week it is a time to focus on fire safety and prevention measures. Firefighters provide lifesaving public education in an effort to drastically decrease casualties caused by fires. October 8-14, 2023

Felicitaciones a los candidatos de la Asociación de Gobierno Estudiantil de Escuelas Intermedias del Condado de Washington en su campaña para ocupar puestos y a los ganadores por ser elegidos para desempeñar sus respectivos roles. Gracias Sr. Boston y Sra. Barber por su liderazgo al orientar a nuestros académicos y líderes de hoy para que usen sus voces para representar al cuerpo estudiantil en la colaboración de ideas y sugerencias con la administración de la escuela. Congratulations to the Washington County Middle School Student Government Association candidates in your campaigning for positions to serve and the winners for being elected to serve in your respective roles. Thank you Mr. Boston and Mrs. Barber for your leadership in mentoring our Scholars and leaders of today to use their voices to represent the student body in collaborating ideas and suggestion with the school's administration. Let the planning for the 2023-2024 school year begin.
