WCECHS WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS 8-29-2022

Hello Everyone,
I apologize if you get more than one email with the same information tonight.  We are still getting everything aligned so hopefully this is just a duplicate!

Monday, there will be a cheerleading interest meeting after school at Washington County High School. There will be a bus provided for students interested in attending this meeting.

Wednesday will be our activity schedule. Sgt. Major Arnold will present to the students about opportunities available to them. In addition, Sgt. Buttz will provide information and opportunities as well.
Finally, Agape health will present an information session to the students on the health care opportunities they will provide on-site at the early college this year.

Juniors and Seniors, I am looking for four upperclassmen to head up our Peer Group Connection (PGC).  If you would like to take this honors class, your schedule must allow you to be at the early college campus every Friday afternoon from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm. You will also need to come to the early college two additional days a week to meet with me. This is an excellent opportunity for you to develop your leadership skills while being a positive role model for younger students.

Students, We will participate in the Roper Peanut Festival on September 10th.  Students interested in earning community service credit and having a great time must sign up with Ms. McNair or Mr. Price. We will begin getting our float ideas and decorations ready this week so make sure you sign up for details.

First- and second-year students, you are now eligible to sign up for the ACT trip on October 22. A few spaces are available, so they are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. So reach out to Ms. Rasonabe if you are interested.

Seniors: Now is the time to complete your residency determination and begin working on your College Application through CFNC or the common application. The common app is open, so go ahead and get started.
Please start now so that you can submit a quality application to many schools on October 17-21 during free college application week. Remember that there are essays involved in this process. If you begin now, you can use tutor.com to review your essays before applying.
