On September 13th, a WCS school board meeting will be held at 6:00 pm. You can attend this meeting in person or virtually. Please check our WCS website for login details.
On September 15th progress reports will be sent home for all high school classes. Please be on the lookout for these this week.

Parents, you are not required to attend these meetings but are encouraged to participate. During this meeting, your student will review their 1st semester's progress and plan their class schedules for the second semester. This is an excellent opportunity to have personalized meetings with Ms. Perry, Ms. Rasonabe, Mr. Lewis, and myself. If you have not participated before, then it is a great experience.

Students at BCCC need to check their BCCC email from Mr. Lewis. He has sent you a live document where you can sign up to meet in his office on the BCCC campus. The early college staff will participate virtually, or I may show up to meet with you in person. However, You are a college student now. If you choose not to attend this session, then we will select your classes for you. Remember, we do this so that you can get your first choice of courses, so please make this a priority.
I want to encourage everyone to sign up for free Covid testing WCS is partnering with Mako Medical to provide free Covid-19 testing to all our staff and students. The online signup is quick and required before any testing can occur. Please visit our wcsnc.orgwebsite to register your student.
The Economic Improvement Council will sponsor a drive-thru event on Thursday, September 15, at the old pines elementary campus. This event will be from 10 am to 1 pm. There will be free health screenings, household products, fresh produce, water, personal protection equipment, bicycles and helmets, and other community resources at this event.
