🎅 BREAKING NEWS FROM THE NORTH POLE! 🎅
Get ready for the MOST AWESOME, MOST FESTIVE, MOST PAJAMA-FILLED week of the year! From December 15th-19th, we're turning Washington County Elementary School into the North Pole's coolest branch location!
HERE'S YOUR MISSION, IF YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT:
🎩 MONDAY 12/15 - HOLIDAY HAT DAY
Dig through your closet, raid your grandma's attic, or build something magnificent out of tinfoil! The wackier your hat, the better. Bonus points if it lights up, jingles, or has a small tree growing out of it!
🎄 TUESDAY 12/16 - GRINCH VS. SANTA (Red or Green Day)
IT'S THE ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN! Are you Team Grinch (green and grumpy) or Team Santa (red and jolly)? Choose your side! Will the Grinch's heart grow three sizes, or will Santa's team sleigh the competition?
❄️ WEDNESDAY 12/17 - WINTER WONDERLAND (Blue & White Day)
Transform into a walking snowflake! Wear your coolest blues and whites and let's turn our school into a blizzard of awesomeness. Sunglasses recommended because it's about to get SNOW BRIGHT in here!
🚂 THURSDAY 12/18 - POLAR EXPRESS (Christmas Pajama Day)
ALL ABOARD! Wear your coziest, most festive pajamas to school. Yes, you read that right, PAJAMAS TO SCHOOL! It's like a sleepover, but with math. Don't forget your ticket to believing! (Just kidding, you don't need a ticket. But hot chocolate is encouraged.)
🦌 FRIDAY 12/19 - UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER DAY
The UGLIER, the BETTER! Got a sweater with Rudolph's glowing nose? Wear it! Found one with 47 jingle bells sewn on? PERFECT! If it makes your parents say "You're NOT wearing that to school," you've found a winner!
So mark your calendars, set your alarms, and get ready for the MERRIEST, SILLIEST, MOST SPECTACULAR week of the year!

What a night!
On December 10th, Washington County Elementary lit up the floor with their Multicultural Cantata / Parent Night! 🎶💃 Through songs, dances, and spoken word poetry, our amazing students shared how Christmas is celebrated around the world, spreading messages of unity, kindness, and holiday joy. What a heartwarming way to honor the beauty of diversity in our school community! ❤️🌍✨

Due to freezing temperatures that will not rise before mid-morning, and with many of our roads being untreated (with possible black-ice in the morning), WCS will be closing all schools tomorrow, Dec. 9, 2025. Please stay tuned to our website, parent contact systems, and social media for updates regarding return to learn dates. A makeup day will be scheduled for a future date in January. Please be safe on the roads if you have to travel in the morning.
